"I am Honduran, I came to the United States with the hope of finding a good job so that my family could have a better future. However, the best job I found was in construction. I didn't have many options because I didn't have an education. I worked for five years and the money I earned was sent home so that my parents could take care of my younger brothers and sisters. I only had enough left over to survive in New York. The work was hard and many hours but it was the best thing in order to survive until I had the accident. I was on the roof trying to lift a heavy load. I couldn't and I fell with the crane from a height of five floors. I don't remember what happened because I was unconscious and seriously injured. I fractured my spine, an arm and legs and was paralyzed from the waist down. I was alone in the house. I couldn't even take a bath, and I had no money. My family also suffered the consequences of this misfortune. After the accident I became very depressed and lost all hope. I didn't know what my options were and I didn't know what was going to happen. Until I found Gorayeb & Associates. They guided me through the case. The owner of the building should have made sure that the machine worked properly. Gorayeb & Associates fought for my rights. They have won hundreds of construction cases like mine. Thank you Gorayeb!"
